many events at the 74th annual VAVRS Convention in Virginia Beach,

Squad Captures More Honors at 2006 Convention

The Clifton Forge Rescue Squad
captured three awards again at the 2006 VAVRS Convention held in
Virginia Beach the last week of September. The squad placed 5th in the
ALS Competition while once again placing first for Best Appearing
Marching Entry and 3rd Place in Best Appearing Entry. |

Awards at 2005 Convention

The Clifton Forge
Rescue Squad recently competed in many areas of the 71st Annual VAVRS Annual
Rescue Squad Convention from September 21st through the 24th in Virginia Beach. Clifton Forge
came home with three trophies including Best Marching Unit and 2nd Place for Best
Appearing Unit in the Parade held on Friday, September 23rd. Clifton Forge was
also awarded third place for it's 2003-2004 scrapbook that was prepared by Pam
Wilmer. 2005 was the 3rd Consecutive 1st Place Marching Award. The Squad placed
3rd in 2003 for Best Appearing Unit in the Annual Parade and 1st in 2004. |

The Clifton Forge
